Steve Archual 11 Regional
including 14 years of competitive play within the USAV Adult
program as a setter and more than 12 years of coaching.  Steve has
been a Worthington Schools Middle School coach for the last 9
years and has been coaching USAV juniors for the last 12 years at
the regional and National level.  In addition, he has also been a club
director, conducted multiple clinics and is a regional referee.

Stephanie Bauer 14 American
Stephanie, new to Buckeye's coaching staff this year, comes to us
with a wealth of experience.  She's been playing volleyball for
almost ten years and is a graduate of Worthington Kilbourne High
School.  She played club for six years with Kaepa Buckeye VBC and
with Cap City VBC where she played libero and received several
Defensive Player and MVP awards.  At WKHS Stephanie also
captained her swim team as a first team all league swimmer and her
water polo team, which she led to state finals.

Her coaching experience includes being a coach of her high
school's summer volleyball camps for four years and a volunteer
assistant for Cap City VBC's 14 team while attending high school.  As
a student at Miami University, she was a coach for Borderline
Volleyball Club for two years and was also Bill Zehler's varsity
volleyball assistant coach at Talawanda High School.  Stephanie
earned her degree from Miami University, majoring in organizational
speech communication and marketing.

Amber Bolinger 18 Regional Elite
Head Coach for the 18's National/Regional Elite Open team, Amber is
entering her sixth year as an IMPACT certified club coach.  For the
2008 year, she coached the 17 Regional Elite team to a 7th place
overall finish out of 155 teams in the region.  This will be her fifth
year coaching for Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club.  In 2007, she
coached the 16's National team finishing 36th.  In 2006, she coached
at the 15's level finishing 22nd in the OVR.  In 2005, she coached at
the 13's level placing 2nd in the Kryptonite division.  She coached
one year for Mid Eastern Volleyball Club (MEVC).  Currently, she is
the Head Coach at Bexley High School.  In 2007, she coached the JV
Volleyball team at Gahanna Lincoln High School.  Amber coached
the Reynoldsburg High School JV team in 2005 and the seventh
grade team at Reynoldsburg Junior High School in 2004.  She is
actively participating in indoor and sand volleyball leagues around
Columbus, as well as playing in Women's  OVR competition on the
weekends.  Amber was a four year letter winner at Muskingum
College from 2000-2004, winning an OAC Championship and a bid to
play in the NCAA tournament.  While at Muskingum, she set the
Single Season Block record for 178 blocks.  All four years she was in
college, she ran high school volleyball camps with her college
coach.  She brings a lot of coaching experience, as well as playing
experience to the Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club.



Sandra Borer  17 American
Coach Sandra is new to the Buckeye coaching staff this year.  A
graduate of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio, she attended Eastern
Michigan University and Owens State Community College where she
won honors as OCCAC Player of the Year, MVP, and was an NJCAA
All-American as a middle hitter.  While in college, she coached for
the Toledo Volleyball Club for five seasons.  In 2009, she was the
tournament director and officials assigner for Mintonette Sports.

Currently, Coach Borer is the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach
and the Head Mens' Club Volleyball Coach at Urbana University.  
She has a strong understanding of the middle attack and a passion
for defense.  She assists with scouting and recruiting for the Blue
Knights.

We feel privileged to welcome Sandra and her two children, Hanna
and Brenden to the Buckeye family.

Nikki Daugherty 13 Regional
Coach Nikki is back at Buckeye to begin her second year.  She was
an 11’s coach in 2009.  She has played volleyball since her freshman
year at Olentangy Liberty High School, where she was on the Varsity
team for two years.  In her senior year, her team tied for the OCC
championships and made it to the disrict finals.  During high school
she played for Kaepa Buckeye VBC for three years.  She is currently
playing for The Ohio State University Marion Scarlet Wave volleyball
team.  The team will go to Nationals this year, ranked 7th.  
Nikki was awarded MVP and 1st Team All Conference of OCAC.  She
also  received an academic athlete award.  She’s very excited to be
coming back.

Melissa Doss 15 Regional, 12 Regional
Coach Melissa Doss will be starting her first year with Kaepa
Buckeye Volleyball Club.  She played Varsity volleyball 4 years at
Eaton High School where she played middle blocker and in 2003 was
conference player of the year. She played for Kaepa Borderline
Volleyball club in Oxford Ohio, and competed in the 2003 USA Junior
Olympic Girls' Volleyball Championships in Atlanta Georgia.  She
continued her volleyball career at the University of Rio Grande
where she earned a full scholarship and a spot on the starting line
up for the Redwomen as a freshman.  She has worked at various
volleyball clinics and summer camps, and while in college assisted
with a local high school team, Gallia Academy.

Jeff Fleer 15 Regional Elite
We welcome Coach Jeff to his second year with Buckeye.  
Previously he coached at London Elite Volleyball Club 12 team in
2006 and at New Wave Volleyball Club 13 team in 2007.  He also
coached for four years with the Dublin Youth League's DYA.

Samantha Huff 15 Regional
Coach Samantha Huff is looking forward to her fourth year with
Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club after coaching her 13 & Under team
last year.  She has over six years of playing experience including
four years as a starter for Dublin Scioto High School teams.  This
included two years on Varsity as a middle hitter. She is currently the
freshman Girls Volleyball Coach at Dublin Scioto High School.

Todd Huff 14 Regional, 16 Regional
Coach Todd Huff has coached for Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club
since 2001 for 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's and 18's Regional teams. Coach
Tood has been coaching volleyball since 1988 at the middle school
level.  He coached JV girls at Reynoldsburg High School in 1999 and
JV boys at Dublin Scioto High School in 2000.  He coached freshmen
girls at Dublin Scioto in 2006, finishing 19-5 and just completed
coaching JV girls at Dublin Scioto High School in 2007 where his
team won the school's OCC Division.  He believes in team dynamics,
teaching respect for other teams, and teaching all players to
believe in themselves and to keep the game in perspective.

Jeniece Jackson  13 Regional Elite
Coach Jeniece Jackson is new to Kaepa Buckeye this year and
brings with her a great deal of experience. Jeniece is a former
setter for Westland High School and Columbus State Community
College and has coached for six years at Westland VBC (12's,13's &
14's). Her coaching career also includes 1 year as a freshman coach,
2 years as a JV coach and assistant Varsity coach for Westland High
School. In addition, she is a volunteer youth coach in the Grove City
community. Jeniece has been playing volleyball for 19 years and
continues to play in competitive adult leagues.

Becky Lewis 14 Elite Regional
Coach Becky, new to Buckeye this year, is a Columbus native and
graduated form Bexley High School in 2005, where she was a
setter.  In her senior year, she received All Ohio Honorable
Mention.  Becky graduated from Tiffin University in May 2009 where
she played volleyball for four years as a defensive specialist.  Most
recently, she was the 7th grade Coach at Bexley Middle School in
2009 and is excited to be beginning her club  career at
Buckeye.      
                                                                                                                        
Missy Mackey 17 Regional
Coach Missy Mackey will be starting her third year of coaching with
Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball club, bringing with her a wealth of
experience.  As a player, she was on a State Championship Team at
De Sales High School and then played three years at Ohio
Dominican College.  She went on to coach for Ohio Dominican for
two years.  As a teacher in the New Albany school system, she also
coached for four years at the JV, Freshman and Middle School
level.  Her love of the game keeps her playing in adult leagues.

Doug Mangette 15 American, 10U
Coach Doug Mangette is coming back  to Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball
Club for his second season.  This will be his third year of coaching
at the club level, as he spent the 2007 season with CCYA.  He has
also been coaching at the Middle School level for four years.

Danielle Mangas
Coach Danielle is new to Buckeye for 2010.  She graduated from
Leipsic High School in Ohio, where she was a three year, starting
Varsity letter winner.  As Team Leader and Captain her Senior Year,
she led her team to Regionals and received Honorable Mention
District 8, played in the All-Star District 8 game, received 2nd Team
Blanchard Valley Conference and 2nd Team Putnam County League.  
She played Club for five years…two years with Stars and Spikes VBC
and three years with Findlay Oilers VBC.

Coach Danielle is currently in her Sophomore year at Columbus
State Community College where she has played volleyball for two
years with the Division II school.  She is majoring in Early Childhood
Special Education and Sign Language.  She plans to go on to The
Ohio State University to complete her degree.  She is very excited
to be joining Buckeye and looks forward to coaching and teaching
our young players.  We’re excited to have her.

Amanda McClemens 12 Regional
Head Coach Westerville South High School

Robert Mitchell
Coach Rob has twenty years of adult volleyball playing experience
as a setter and outside hitter, including USAV Regional Runner-up
in 2005.  He has been a Head Coach for the 7th and 8th grade Boys'
and Girls' Volleyball in the Columbus Catholic Diocese for the past
five years.  We welcome Rob to his first year with Buckeye.

Bill Neider  14 Regional
Coach Neider, although new to Buckeye in 2010, has been playing
volleyball for twenty years; three years playing USAV.  He played for
the Columbus City “A” division co-ed power championship team
from 1995 thru 2001 and was Columbus City Champ of Champs MVP
in 2000 & 2001.  Bill has coached for the Grove City Recreational
Volleyball League for four years.  He also coached for the Westland
Volleyball Club in 2009.  We look forward to having him on our staff.

Scott Nichols
Coach Scott Nichols is entering his sixth year of coaching with
Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club.  As our 18 National coach for most
of those years, he brings with him a great deal of knowledge and
experience.  As Head Volleyball Coach at Columbus State
Community College, he has led the Lady Cougar volleyball program
to three straight National Junior College Athletic Association DIII
national tournaments berths and three consecutive NJCAA DIII
District G Championships.  Their highest finish came in 2004 when
the cougars placed fourth at the national tournament.  A 2000
graduate of Springfield College (Springfield, MA) with a Bachelor of
Movement and Sports Studies and three year letter winner for the
NCAA III nationally ranked pride.  Coach Nichols entered the
collegiate coaching ranks as an assistant for the NCAA DIII American
International Yellow Jackets of Springfield, MA.  Upon graduation
from Springfield, Coach Nichols was hired at Otterbein College
(Westerville, OH), as the Graduate Assistant Volleyball Coach for the
2000-01 seasons.  He has worked previous summers at numerous
camps including Union College, Springfield College, and Otterbein
College.  During his four years at Columbus State, Coach Scott has
produced three first team All-americans and two honorable mention
All-americans.  The Cougars received their highest ever national
ranking during the 2004 season when they held the #2 national
ranking for three weeks.  The 2004 campaign also boasted the
schools highest win total reaching 29 wins during the season.  
Coach Scott also serves on the American Volleyball Coaches
Association Midwest Region selection committee for two year
coach/player of the year awards.

Brenden Pence 15 Regional
Coach Pence, beginning his first year with Buckeye, started his
volleyball career as a sophomore at Beavercreek High School, near
Dayton.  As a three year varsity letter winner, he had many
achievements;  Two year captain, All area Second Team and MVP his
junior year with a team that placed 15th Nationally, All Region First
Team, All State Honors and a scholarship for leadership in a varsity
sport in his Senior Year.  During that time he also played Club
volleyball with Dayton Juniors/Air City 17-1's and 18-1's and attended
camps a the University of Cincinnati, Ball State University and Ohio
State University.

Currently, Brenden is a student at The Ohio State University.  He
continues to play competitive indoor volleyball with USAV and with
Club at OSU.  He plays highly competitive sand vollelyball as well.  
As a coach, he has helped both men's and women's volleyball at
Beavercreek with tryouts, conditioning and practices from the
freshman through varsity level.  He was an assistant boys varsity
coach at Westerville Central.  This past season, he was the seventh
grade girls' volleyball coach at Bexley Middle School.  As a player
who has played every position competitively, he will bring his
knowledge and passion for the game to every practice.  We look
forward to having him with us in 2010.

Jim Rathburn 15 Regional
This will be Coach Rathburn’s first year as a coach with Buckeye
Volleyball Club.  Previously, he has coached at the grade school,
middle school and junior high level and was an assistant coach for a
Kaepa Buckeye Marion 14 team in 2009.  His experience on the
court comes from college intramural and Columbus recreational
league play.  He believes in keeping his teams focused on
developing their skills, establishing and reaching team and
individual goals and working as a unit.   

Kristin Ratliff 16 Regional
Coach Kristin is staring her first year with Buckeye.  She is a 2008
graduate of Marysville High School where she played as a four year
varsity setter.  She went on to play at Elmhurst College as both a
setter and a defensive specialist.  She also plays in sand leagues
around Columbus.  She coached volleyball at the Marysville YMCA
in 2008.  She is an assistant coach for the Marysville HS volleyball
team while also coaching in camps and private lessons.  Kristin
comes to us with a love of competitive volleyball and an enthusiasm
to share that with our players.

Marinda Roderick 14 Regional
Coach Marinda has played volleyball since the 3rd grade at the
YMCA.  Her early love of the game followed her all through school,
as she played Club for Westerville Volleyball Club from 5th grade all
the way through high school.  She graduated from Utica High School
where, in her senior year, she was 1st and 2nd Team Academic All-
OAC and MVP of her high school team.  While in high school, she
assisted in volleyball camps at the YMCA, Westerville South High
School and Utica High School.  She went on to attend Otterbein
College where she plays volleyball as a setter, assisting at their
summer volleyball camps for the last four years.  She is a senior this
year and we’re very glad she will be continuing her volleyball
career with us.

Liz Rundio 16 Regional
Coach Rundio (formerly Coach Lurz) is beginning her eighth year
with Buckeye Volleyball Club.  She played four years of varsity ball
at Vandalia Butler High School.  During that time she also played for
Miami Valley Juniors Volleyball Club.  After high School, Liz went on
to play at West Virginia Wesleyan College where she was an outside
hitter and a defensive specialist.  She coached at Hilliard Darby
High School from 2001 thru 2006.  Liz is in her second season with
Bishop Watterson High School as their Assistant Varsity Coach.  

Kelsey Smathers 11 and under
We welcome Coach Kelsey to her first season with Buckeye.  Her
love of the game began in 6th grade.  She went on to attend Tiffin
Calvert High School where she was a three year Varsity letter
winner.  In her senior year, in 2005, she made 2nd Team in the
Midland Athletic League and Honorable Mention in District 6.
She led her team in blocking and kills and played in the District 6 All-
Star game.
During high school, she played Club Volleyball with Sen-San VBC for
three years.

While attending college at Ohio State University, Kelsey played
intramurals there and also played in a competitive sand league.  
She graduated from OSU in June of 2009 with a B.A. in English.  She
is currently attending the Columbus branch of Ashland University
working on her teaching license and Masters in Education.
Coach Kelsey actually joined us in September of 2009, assistant
coaching in our fall instructional league and clinics.  We welcome
her and we’re glad she decided to continue on with us for the Club
season.

Rob Terrill 12 Regional
Coach Rob Terrill is in his 2nd year with Kaepa Buckeye.  He has
also been the director of the Set to Kill Volleyball club out of
Prospect, Ohio since 2001.  His volleyball coaching experience
includes time at 3 different high schools (Ridgemont '88-'92, Elgin
'93-'04 and Highland '05) in which he served as Head Varsity.  Varsity
Asst., JV, and/or Fresh.  While at Elgin, he served as Varsity Asst.,
and in '03 as Head Coach while they won 9 straight MOAC league
titles and made four appearances in the state tournament finishing
as Div. III Runner-Up in '96 and '98.

Julie Toth 18 Regional, 12 Regional
Coach Julie is from Stockton, California where she played at Lincoln
High School (2nd in state, 1999) and with Delta Valley Volleyball
Club.  She then competed at San Joaquin Delta College as a middle
blocker and opposite hitter, finishing 3rd and 2nd in the State
Championships her freshman and sophomore years, respectively.  
After completing training for the Army National Guard as a medic,
Julie went to New Mexico Highlands University, a Division II
university, and started her senior year as team captain.  Julie is now
a student in the Sport and Exercise Studies department and its
completing her internship with the Cougar Volleyball Team as an
assistant Coach.  She hopes to continue coaching as a career and
looks forward to a great season!

Soteary Uk
Coach Soteary Uk is entering his fourth year as an assistant coach
for Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club.  He brings with him four years of
Men's recreational league playing experience.  He has attended
coaching clinics and has been impact and Cap 1 certified.  He has 2
years of club experience as an assistant Coach with our 14 National
team and 15 Regional Teams.  He has coached numerous clinics and
camps (grades 2-9) in 2006/2007 for Kaepa Buckeye Through our
association with our association with the Worthington Recreation
Center.

Chris Warner 16 Regional, 15 Regional (Winter and Spring)
Coach Chris is in his first year with Buckeye.  He is a graduate of
Worthington Kilbourne High School where he was a three year
varsity letter winner on the volleyball team.  In his senior year, he
was captain of the Wolves' 2004 State Final Four team.  He went on
to attend Columbus State and Miami University while at Miami.  
Chris was the head coach of the women's club volleyball team.  
During that time, he also coached at Kaepa borderline Volleyball
Club.  In 2007, he coached a 15 Regional team and in 2008, the 16
National team.  We look forward to having Chris share all of his
experience as part of our staff this year.


Daryl Ward 16 American
Coach Daryl Ward enters his sixth year of coaching for Kaepa
Buckeye Volleyball Club.  With Buckeye he has coached a 13,14, and
15 Regional Team, moving up to a 16 Regional Elite lst year and to
17 Regional Elite in 2008.  He has coached both adult and high
school level teams for over 26 years.  Just some of his
accomplishments include starting and running a winter high school
league with 6 teams, running the Eastside Volleyball adult Power Co-
Ed Volleyball team in Columbus Open Power summer league,
coaching standard co-ed and power co-ed adult volleyball, coaching
a team in the corporate challenge organizing and instructing both
adult and youth volleyball for Reynoldsburg parks and rec, and
coaching a winter girls HS league to allow players to play between
varsity and club season.

Walt Williams 13 Regional
Coach Williams will be joining Buckeye for the 2010 season.  Walter
has fifteen years of experience playing and coaching at the adult
level.  He was the Varsity Head Coach for Harvest Prep in 2006.  He
coached for Westland Volleyball Club in 2009.  He loves to teach but
remains a student of the
game.                                                                                                          
 

Jaclynn Yocum
Coach Jaclynn is joining Buckeye after completing her education at
Coastal Carolina University, where she played Div I volleyball.  She
played club volleyball for eight years; four of those with Buckeye at
the National level.  Her playing experience also includes four years
of varsity level ball at Jonathan Alder High School, where she
received 1st Team All-State honors, 2 years 1st Team All-District, 3
years All County, including All County and All District Player of the
Year, Division III.  Jaclynn is excited to return to her home club and
share her experience and passion for the game at the coaching
level.

Jill Yocum 17 Regional, 18 Regional
Coach Jill Yocum returns for her seventh year of coaching with
Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club.  Her twelve years of Club coaching
include a first place regional ranking.  Coach Jill's 22 years of
coaching experience involve 21 years at the High School level with
numerous accomplishments. 7 district titles, 18 league titles, league
coach of the year 11 years, district coach of the year 5 years, Ohio
all star coach, Ohio state coach of the year, and a HS coaching
record of 296 wins and 80 losses.  Coaching for one year at Malone
College, her W/L stats were 21-12.  Jill has plentiful experience with
clinics and camps including 6 years of Ohio elite camp staff,
attending Sports Performance coaches' clinics and the Gold Medal
Olympic coaches clinic in 2006.  She is also Buckeye's clinic Director
for Grades 2- 12, run in association with Worthington Rec Center.  
Coach Jill is also Cap 1 Certified.

Kristen Yates
Coach Kristen Yates has been a coach with Buckeye Volleyball Club
since 1999.  She began her career at McCord Middle School and
was a three year varsity letter winner at Worthington Kilbourne High
School, winning defensive player of the year.  She also played four
years of club ball.  Going on to play at Columbus State as a key
defensive player, she helped take her team to NJCAA Div. III
Nationals in Minnesota.  As one of our original coaches, Kristen has
coached all age groups, most at the National level.  A team that
followed her from 14-17 finished in the Regional Bold bracket each
year.  She also coached them at AAU's in Orlando, Florida.  Almost all
of those girls on that team went on to successful college careers.  
She continues with our all-important Reserve Staff members.  You'll
also see her a tryouts, as she helps us coordinate 'behind the
scenes' responsibilities.

Lauren Yates 13 Regional
Coach Lauren Yates coached for Kaepa Buckeye Volleyball Club in
2007 as a 15 National coach and continues this year coaching a 13
regional team.  Although fairly new to our coaching staff, Lauren is
not new to Buckeye.  She was on our very first team in 1998 as a 13
and continued for the next five years at 14's thru 18's at the National
Level.  
She started playing club ball at eleven years old.  She played at
McCord Middle School and was a four year Varsity letter winner at
Worthington Kilbourne High School where she won 2nd Team All
District and 1st Team all OCC honors.  Lauren went on to play for
two years at Columbus State.  A key all around player, she helped
take the Cougars to NJCAA Div III Nationals in Minnesota both years
making the All-Tournament Team in her sophomore year.  As a
sophomore she also won NJCAA Div III Player of the Week, 1st Team
All-District and 1st Team All-American.

Leah Yoder 14 Regional


Morgan Zumberger 14 Regional

Currently a Sophomore at Columbus State Community College and
in her second year playing for the division II Cougar Volleyball
Team.  Voted the District E player of the year, she help lead the team
to a district championship.  They are going to the Nationals the end
of November.  This will be Morgan's second year with Buckeye.
